"Made in Sussex" exhibition, Champs Hill, West Sussex. Visit and talk 27 June 2023 10.30 am
Due to our first visit on 8 June selling our very quickly, we have arranged another visit on Tuesday 27 June.
As small group visit to the private art collection at Champs Hill, Coldwaltham, formed by the late David Bowerman and not generally open to the public.
We will see their current exhibition ‘Made in Sussex’, of over 40 paintings and sculptures selected from the Bowerman collection. The exhibition includes work by Lucien Pissarro, Vanessa Bell, Duncan Grant, John Piper, Claude Muncaster, Ivon Hitchens, Fred Cuming, John Hitchens, Tuëma Pattie and Andrew Gifford.
The exhibition is held in the Music Room, a purpose built performance and exhibition space, which is set in over 27 acres of glorious landscaped gardens dotted with sculptures.
Mary Bowerman will welcome us around 10.45 am, and then Lucy from Kevis House will lead a talk/tour focusing on her selection from the exhibition: “Ways of Seeing: Revealing the Soul in Landscape Painting”.
Price includes coffee/tea and biscuits and the talk.
All proceeds go to the Bowerman Charitable Trust..
