VICTORIA ORR EWING

"As a landscape painter I am continually drawn to wild and uncultivated places.  I find them a source of both artistic and spiritual inspiration.

My latest work draws upon Dartmoor’s raw beauty and unspoiled nature, which speaks to me on a deep, primal level. There is a fascination with the subtle horizons and rugged terrain, dramatic weather and untamed energy. It offers a sense of connection to something greater than ourselves, a higher power that is both awe-inspiring and humbling."

Victoria Orr Ewing

Victoria Orr Ewing (b.1962) is a Scottish contemporary landscape painter. She is best known for her paintings of uncultivated wilderness where weather and light dominate. Growing up on a farm on the Mull of Galloway, nature has always been a source of inspiration. The coast and moors of this remote peninsular have helped to give her work a sense of space and drama.

Victoria graduated The City and Guilds of London Art School in 1986. A passion for travel and living in distant places informed her pictorial vision. She travelled extensively in Asia. She lived in Morocco, and also visited South America, the Caribbean and Europe before settling for some years in Southern Spain. She currently lives in the UK.

Her work appears in private and corporate collections throughout the world.
