Piers Ottey
"Artists with a sense of humour are agile, deft and defy categorisation, which is wonderfully refreshing when the work is as challenging as is Piers Ottey’s"
Mary Rose Beaumont, Art Historian and Critic
We are the sole gallery representatives of Piers Ottey’s work, and have a wide collection recent paintings by him as well as pictures from the past decades.
Piers Ottey trained at Chelsea School of Art in the 1970s, and has been painting professionally since 1978. He moved to West Sussex in 1980 and established The Mill Studio Art School in 1994.
Much of his work over the years has stemmed from travelling, both over the local landscape, and abroad. From his studio he has developed a very personal approach to life-painting. The artist paints what he is passionate about, be it the Sussex Downs, his late dog Audrey, or his motorbikes.
Ottey has exhibited across Europe and his work is held in private, corporate and public collections around the world.
