James Roberts works with ink and salt to create expressive representations of wild. He has been an editor, art director, designer, poet and film maker. He is a Fellow of The Royal Society of Arts.

Among the books he has illustrated is his own book ‘Two Lights”, published in 2023. It was described as “An extraordinary account of searching for the wildness left in our world – spanning continents and geological eras, mountains and oceans, animals and birds.”
