Chrissie Lines
Before working in jewellery design, Chrissie Lines was at first a furniture designer and then a teacher of Product Design. Having spent over 20 years helping students develop their projects the time came when she decided to progress her own work. After studying 3D design it was natural that designing and making became her creative outlet. Jewellery was initially just an interest but the reward of working with fine metals increasingly grabbed her attention.
Living and working by the sea and having spent many years either in it or on it (the waters off the Greek Islands being a special favourite) it was bound to be a significant influence on her work; combining sea-glass into much of her work has become a major feature of her collections. Another element found in her work is the use of multiple geometric shapes and textures, often combined to add meaning and drama to her pieces.
Now living in Norfolk with a dedicated studio workshop Lines's work continues to evolve, and new collections and working on commissions keep her busy when not in her garden.
